day one of seoul .

now that i'm back , i still can't believe that i actually visited seoul .
we have always been talking about it but no concrete plans were made because of our hectic schedules. besides, i always thought seoul's really expensive and i have been used to budget trips to bangkok and all. & when sonia decided to visit jocene at seoul , we just a month plus before the trip and poof , all settled. my mom says i'm really daring because i always travel with girls only. this time round , it's only the two of us :) love travelling .

guess who we bumped into at the changi airport :)
love watching all her shows especially tang xin feng bao and jia hao yue yuan .
i honestly thought she looks prettier on screen though .
could have been the wonders of make up.

upon reaching seoul :) we saw passengers on board the flight wearing their outercoat so we follow suit. nia and i were really satisfied with the services provided by cathay pacific. it was a transit flight but we our transit was only half an hour or so because the first flight got delayed. we get to board on the airbus for our transit flight and yay, wider selections of movie and shows for our pleasure viewing :) i'm so glad we chose cathay pacific over china eastern ! our air tickets were 700+ only by the way. it's quite a steal given the impeccable service , short transit time , comfort and last minute bookings.

we took the international cab and omg , it costs us 55000 won which is approximately 60sgd. we wanted a safe bet so we would rather pay this amount and reach the guesthouse safely. the trip wasn't very long and our driver kindly helped us call the guesthouse peeps for the entrance password :) if not we would be locked outside the cold , in the dark streets . we had to wait for approx and hour or so for the staff to arrive and that's when we met stephanie :) a very nice french lady who gave us a room at 7am to wash up and settle our belongings.

she gave us a room with 1 double bed and a single bed.
nia took the double bed because she claimed that she suffered a lot sleeping in the middle bed in bangkok while teh and i took the comforts of the bed at the side.
anyway, our room is really cozy and it is facilitated with a TV , full length mirror , air conditioner , mini refrigerator , working desk, hair dyer and this rack for us to hang our coats.  i like the fact that it's situated near ewha subway station , 7 eleven , foodstalls and shopping districts. we could do laundry at the fourth level and wifi is readily accessible ! the only minus point is that the towels provided are really small and there wasn't any toothbrush/toothpaste provided. thank god mom insisted that i bring mine.  & don't expect a buffet spread when they say breakfast is provided because it's a guesthouse afterall. there's toaster for us to make toast , bread and some spread to fill our stomachs. i would definitely stay in shinchon guesthouse for my next budgeted seoul visit :)

outfit of the day :)
love trenchcoats. i shouldn't have bought it in singapore though .
there were so many prettier and cheaper trenchcoats in seoul .
the colours , material and cutting were amazing.
our first stop ; myeongdong cathedral
it was dark and there were some people praying in the cathedral .
sonia was like " why they stay here so long ? they have a lot of sins ah ? "
i swear she makes the dumbest and cutest comments ever ;)

streets of myeongdong.
you dont wanna miss myeongdong because it's where you find f21 and h&m outlets
it's also where you find all the local cosmetics and skincare brands .
banila co , the saem , nature republic, it's skin, innisfree, etude house , missha , bhaviphat and many more. there are alot of sales peeps from china so most of them can speak mandarin & japanese.
laneige is also much cheaper there. laneige stocks can also be found at watsons.

our dinner :)

 baskin robbins for desserts !!
the cakes are too cute really.
i wished i could get them for my birthday :(

nichkhun is so so so so cuteeee.
how can anyone resist him seriously ?
