a very unfortunate event.

on friday, mom called while i was working out the tedious sums of management mathematics, with the music blasting in the background. thank goodness i left my phone on loud ringing mode for i wouldn't have responded to her call if it was on the usual silent mode. it was a day before xx's 21st birthday and the female guests are supposed to go in togas to fit the greek theme. two of my friends had to pick up togas from my wardrobe for their miserable wardrobe left them with no choice. 

" are you studying now?" she managed. she sounded normal and i thought that all was right so I ranted to her over the phone that i was starving to death and i'm going to pass out anytime soon. 

after which, she asked me to go down to pick her up at the carpark for she wasn't feeling well. I could hear her panting heavily over the phone and I got really worried. my mom isn't exactly feeble or whatsoever and she hardly collapse despite having insufficient sleep. ( fyi, she's pretty much contented with five hours of sleep somehow ) . as i found her, her face was buried in some random plastic bag as she tried to induce her vomit . she looked so pale that i freaked out momentarily. couldn't think straight so i called my brother to get him back immediately and THANK GOD, he was on his way home already. mass spammed tissues from the tissue paper box to wipe her perspiration and applied ointment on her forehead to ease her giddy spells. 

& here comes the very unfortunate part. she instructed me to take her IC from her wallet to register at the nearby clinic so she could see a doctor. I took her bag and searched for the IC in the dark. found a picture of me when I was young and pangs of guilt hit me because I was reminded of my mom took care of me when i was ill and there's nothing I could do to ease her discomfort. snapped out of my dramamama thoughts and went back up to get panadols for my mother. fed my mom panadols and just as I was about to head for the clinic registration, I COULDN'T FIND THE FREAKING IC. 

IT WAS SO SURREAL. I wanted to collapse on the spot and it was just so me. the typical miss leong who left her stationeries behind , the silly girl who left her phone in the refrigerator and the daughter who lost countless of waterbottles and umbrellas. I was so mad at myself . I tried to retrace my steps to find the IC but luck wasn't on my side the numerous trips back and forth were deemed futile. I felt so miserable. ranted to rach felimbo nia and the rest and felt a tad better. mom could finally get up on her feet so we helped her to the nearby clinic . she was given a jab and felt a lot better after that. 

I was at the clinic when i got a call from yixuan that she's waiting below my block. miss forgetful at her best, I actually forgot that I was supposed to pass her the toga past midnight. Ran back home on an empty stomach to pass her the stuffs. & then I decided to try to look for the missing IC with the aid of the screen light of my blackberry .. I was advised to report the matter to the police station so I walked around the estate to look for the police post, all alone and it was past 12. Found the police station and realised that they only operate till 10pm and it was yet another wasted trip. 

I was feeling so miserable all the way and was contemplating if I should skip the birthday bash when this kind auntie came up to return my mom's IC! Mom was so happy because she said that was the only pretty picture left of her  -.- so happy that all's good right now. mom's no longer sick and the IC is back and the very broke rebe didnt have to fork out 100 bucks out of her wallet to replace her IC !! 

goodbye february , hello march

didn't do anything special on the leap year apart from checking out all the online sales !

so many online boutiques were having massive sales to celebrate the leap year .

little treats like these do wonders to the soul but massive damages to the wallet :( 

today is fourth of march , HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY BIMBY <3

the new month kick start with two consecutive 21st celebration from the uniclique

we were all looking forward to let loose and unwind during the weekend.

too bad i was having giddy spells from time to time if not it would have been more fun. 

first up , jessie's 21st at aranda country club , pasir ris.

jessie's family is so spontaneous and supportive!

her dad actually wore a bow tie throughout the event to dress according to the theme :)

her mom actually tied all the balloons together and decorated the empty walls . 

there were so many colourful balloons all around 

everything was so cute like the birthday girl and her theme - ribbon and bow. 

yenqin looks so demure with the colourful clips :) 

i can't stop gushing over yann's pretty face !

can't thank god enough for your presence in my life babes <3 

& what's a party without sabotaging felimbo ?

she's truly the entertainer among all of us with her bimbotic moves. 

we went high as we tried to cover her face in the pictures.

her reaction's nothing short of epic... and very very bimbotic.

have never expressed it but i'm very thankful towards henry and jun 

for being so spontaneous and making the effort to attend every gathering and celebration

here's a picture of all her friends who attended the party that night :) 

most of the guys came in bow ties while the girls came with hairbands and clips . 

the highlight of the night has to be the games session

our clique in particular , had a good laugh sabotaging felicia and henry for forfeit.

even when the music stopped and the balloons were beyond their reach , 

we would chant and shout their names to get them onto the center of attraction :) 

talk about one night of fame . 

henry went up for the second time and his forfeit was to act like a rockstar. 

we couldn't stopped laughing when he posed like THIS for the camera. 

it was so epic.  he actually did forfeit THRICE for that night. 

push up , being a dancing pole for felicia to pole dance and posing as rockstar. 

our favourite forfeit has to be the pole dance. HANDS DOWN. 

while aiai left for another 21st celebration, a few of us headed off to the club. 

everyone was spontaneous because lyla yang said she wouldn't mind heading to club. 

one of the very rare moments that she would be up for clubbing 

the night was fun but awesomely painful to my livers .

i had to nurse my hangover in the tuition centre the next day :"(

it was way too last minute to ask for a replacement and the first class was 9:30am 

i had no idea how to survive but god was kind and i got better later in the day. 

then it was aiai's 21st birthday bash at orchard hotel 

a few months back she was stressing over the venue and now it's all settled. 

 

throughout the entire day , we were snapping pictures away. 

yang yen qin raped my camera till it died towards the end of the day!!

in case you're wondering, the theme is back to school 

we didnt know what to wear so we decided on skater skirts. 

someone suggested tau pok randomly and i started crashing on yann. 

and then when it was round two , peeps started crashing on me. 

thats when  feli  asked us to stay in the position and pose for the pictures. 

the girls showed no mercy while i was sandwiched between yenqin and the rest. 

poor guys who lost their mind as they mugged for the upcoming papers.. 

henry's like on his on time high streak these days. 

jun who's actively looking for love interest. 

i thought he looked quite good in this picture. 

maybe i should submit it in some dating websites..

now that the parties are over, it's back to the books again :x
