BANGKOK III

finally got down to blog about my bangkok trip . nothing much to blog about though :/

it's all about cheap food , shopping and transport :)

i really love bangkok though. i wouldn't mind going there every year .

for those of you who are interested, i booked my flights via cathay pacific.

they were having this promotion for bangkok - sgd 246 nett

it was really a good deal given that it's peak period and last minute booking .

even budget airlines like tiger were having it at $188 exclusive of tax and all.

this is the second time i'm staying at ecotel bangkok.

i was really satisfied from my previous trip and decided to patron it again .

sarah nia and i shared one room and our accommodation for 4 nights is only 100 +

they have recently upgraded , with their own restaurant to cater to breakfast .

it's a really good and humble hotel, located in the heart of bangkok ( 10 mins to platinum )

the only thing is that their room service is super damn slow & you have to request for hot water.

just down the street is a 7 eleven and there are lots of street stalls if you're hungry at night.

we patronised this massage parlour which is near our hotel twice :)

foot massage at only 6sgd for an hour !

ecotel provides high speed internet at no extra costs .

i was able to load a few episodes of secret garden when i'm bored in the night

they have KBS channel as well -good for kpop fans out there

cheryl was watching the dream concert in the hotel .

shucks, i just realised we didn't tip the room service peeps.

we didn't try out authentic thai restaurant .

everyone's too busy shopping which i'm not complaining.

i really love platinum's food court though .

they serve a lot of food like oyster omelette hot plate ( my fave! )

you should also try the KFC milkshake at platinum's food court .

they also serve crepes , desserts and other ala carte stuffs near the escalator.

dont think you can ever indulge food like these at dirt cheap prices in sg..

love love love the fried carrot cake . it's so nice i'm really craving for more.

& coconut ice cream at the chatuchak weekend market.

it's super hot and stuffy over at chatuchak .

i would have love it as much as platinum if it was air conditioned.

my only regret is that i didn't check out siam square

they have really unique stuffs there , at higher prices but cheaper than sg or equivalent?

didn't managed to check out union mall, chinatown or floating markets.

it's okay , bangkok i'll be back !!

i got like 6 chiffon tanks from pratunam markets.

prices are cheaper in pratunam market and there are lots of stuffs going at 110 baht ( 4sgd++)

we managed to find similar stuffs at 100 baht as we walked on though .

there's this place which sells bottoms .

denim shorts, high waist shorts, skorts, skirts , bandaged work pants

you name it , they have it .

unlike city plaza , you only need to get 2 or 3 pieces to qualify for wholesale price .

the skorts and high waist pants that i got are of good quality and cost 6 bucks on average

you get to mix the designs and colours .

some anal wholesalers expect you to get the same sizing though ..

till my next taiwan trip :) one month and counting !

hopefully i'll be able to get my camera before the trip.
