november updates.

went on a study date with jing at holland v's starbucks and i found myself highly motivated by her focus.  she was in the midst of her exams preparation while i decided that i should just get my revision start lest history repeats itself again. we were just chilling at one of the corner seats, sharing a cup of of hot green tea latte and catching up with each other before we proceeded with our revision. i actually managed to finish a few chapters and by the end of the day , i was beaming with great sense of achievement. you see, the people you hang out with have immense influence on you . hanging out with conscientious peeps can actually motivate you to study pretty well :)

been meaning to update this space but i was so preoccupied with my revision and other stuff. just as i was about to post an entry on our recent pjclique outing, blogger forbade me to upload anymore pictures unless i pay them a nominal monthly fee for data storage. it's so silly to pay for online data storage especially when i'm only blogging for fun. then one fine day (today) god reminded me of the existence of photobucket and here i'm blogging with pictures !!

met up with the bishan peeps on two separate occasions. the last time i saw grace was in january , on her birthday at regent hotel. i used to see her everyday when we were in PJC and it was so much more convenient to rant to her.  judging from the insane amount of workload that a SMU undergraduate gets , i'm in no position to rant or whatsoever. i should be fine and contented that i dont have to put up with sucky project mates and struggle with back to back datelines to meet. in fact, i'm really loving uni life even though i'm not immersing in any form of campus life. i guess i'm just happy to spend time with my friends during lectures ; be it paying attention / scribbling notes / checking out sneak previews of online boutiques. we could talk about shopping all day and that's what girls do :)

been going on many many movie dates with the boyfriend too . i've been thinking if i should give up my weekend tuition classes to spend more quality time with him. it's the kids vs le boyfriend. 

finally a rare TGIF dinner date with the pjclique :) dinner at yoshimaru , holland village. i'm not a big fan of ramen but i have to say that yoshimaru serves really good ramen. it was full house that night and we had to wait quite a while to be seated. prices are pretty reasonable with the 10% student discount.



headed off to island creamery where i bumped into my long lost friend sarah who's working there.  i can't get enough of their mudpie . it's my cheaper alternative to the mudpies at NYDC.  i'm so hooked on the ice cream flavour pingpong milo ever since nia made me try it a few months back. if only ice cream work like slimming pills or something, i would have this everyday. i don't have the habit of buying pints of ice cream back to feast on but i was really tempted to takeaway a pint of pingpong milo.
after 1 serving of mudpie and apple pie served with ice cream , we ordered another pint to share among ourselves. it was such a rare sinful indulgence and i was happy while it lasted until i got home. i was literally having war with my tummy.

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY , SILVIA : ) 

attended my fourth consecutive birthday party which happened to be silvia's ;  in the location friendly warren country club. finally a birthday party near my vicinity . i'm so thankful for the location and of course, the great food and companion. one of the best things about birthday parties is to gather and catch up with friends. it's so hard to schedule a full reunion gathering these days :<

before this shot was taken , she actually teared while giving a short thank you speech to her parents for preparing this birthday event for her. silvia's one of the most simple girl i've ever met . even on her birthday party , she barely put on make up because she's just simple like that . even though we're not very close and i don't get to see her often like how it was an everyday kind of thing in JC, deep down in my heart i hope that she's happy with whoever she is and whatever she does. 

i mean duh , of course i hope the best for each and everyone of my pals but silvia's just so simple and i'm very happy that she's found keith . the entire day , her 24/7 boyfriend is just busy snapping pictures to make sure everything goes well for his girlfriend's birthday. he barely ate or rested.  S-W-E-E-T.

Sonia's Farewell 

at the terminal three airport to send the bestfriend off to seoul 

got up at 6 in the morning and felt so groggy. 

couldn't be bothered with the basic makeup/skincare whatsoever. 

have been sleeping past 12 since the hols and been accustomed to getting up late. 

nevertheless it was all worth it to see my babygirl for the last time before she's out of town for a good one and a half months :(  i'm missing her already ..

Of recent happenings and thoughts.

last night , i did my very first apparel review at bestofshopping :) 

the people in the livejournal community are so friendly and encouraging . 

the postive comments totally make my day. 

it's so true when they say shopping brings people together, just like our uni clique. 

been really busy with the exam preparations and ouch , current countdown : < a month

we are really racing against time . god please multiply my strength and capacity.

last night , we celebrate wing's 21st birthday at kim's family restaurant. 

thank god all of us live within the same vicinity. makes it so much easier to meet for a meal 

that got me questioning, we don't really meet up for meals even though we stay so near :(

anyway , it was our first meeting with wing's boyfriend aka OWL (one week later)

food glorious food . not very impressed with the selection of side dishes on that day though :(

not a fan of spicy rice cakes but i'm loving the magee noodles and ham . 

makes me miss seoul so much. when we could eat unlimited flow of bbq meet for 8000 won 

had 6 hours of class tuition before the meetup and was really zonked out. 

never felt so lethargic before. + the fact that age is catching up .. not a good sign. 

surprised the birthday girl with a tiramisu cake from cake avenue 

what a tasty sinful indulgence. will definitely be back for more cakes and pastries. 

& to punish wing for her delay in delivery of news of her new status.. 

we decided to be naughty and cheeky on her 21st birthday celebration 

we made her take 21 different shots of different requirement with her bf in the restaurant

had a good time laughing and squeaking in delight when each mission was accomplished.

after dinner, we headed for a karaoke to sing and chill while some of us went home to mug . 

they lied when they say things would be a breeze after A's . everyone's so busy and stressed. 

i can't imagine the stress my kids have to go through in future when it's already so competitive now

two weeks ago , i went on a proper date with kun the superficial boy 1991. 

last week saw me going through my worst ( physically )

i had to down a series of bitter powdered TCM followed by western chalky medicinal solution.

all through all these shit, i didn't even lose much kilograms. girls' main concern. 

the very 'health conscious' bf wanted me to gym with him despite having chest pain

" you really got heart pain meh? " 

so i asked him to choose between a fat but alive gf & skinny but half dying gf. 

started off the day with a hearty brunch at one of the white dog cafe (??)

before we utilised the sentosa voucher that his mom got for us

we had the entire cable cabin to ourselves on the returning trip (!!) 

regretted wearing a maxi skirt because it's so inconvenient and hot 

nevertheless, it was a very good date because we spent quality time together.

it's always me studying in the dining room while he plays his playstation in the room.

 last week was emotionally and physically taxing for me. 

while i lay down on my bed, my head was spinning

it was so traumatising that i wouldn't wanna go through that ever again

one of the most disgusting and uncomfortable moments in life.  

i couldn't revise nor comfort one of my dearest girlfriend who's having a hard time now.

just yesterday , one of my girlfriend told me about her aunt being abused by her husband. 

my mom went through a failed marriage so she always warned me to choose my partner carefully. 

she thinks kun's a good man and asked me not to choose anymore lol 

while my friend sarah's mom kept asking her to keep her options open. what contrast.

as i'm typing this, i'm seething with anger 

with a man who broke my friend's heart ; i doubt he gives a shit anyway. 

it's funny how some people can move on so easily. 

i went through my fair share of breakups and heartache and they were nightmare. 

but always remember and remind yourself constantly 

"He who isn't there at your worst , doesn't deserve to be there at you best "

met up with two of my precious babes this sunday :) 

i used to talk to nette over the phone every other day but uni robbed us of our quality time.

all of us are really busy with our own stuffs so it's really hard to meet up . 

what makes it worse that aussie robbed us of our girlfriend louisa 

wished we could meet like once a week or so but time isn't on our side ..

i can't wait for her to be back again !!

i haven't seen the peeps from my JC for a long long time. the last time we met was on 1st January ,  my birthday party at st' regis. everyone's so busy it's hard to fix a date to accommodate everyone. glad that most of us took time down to celebrate birthdays.  it would have been more awesome if wing could take leave from her work to join us though . had a lot of fun nevertheless :) cheers to girlfriends time 

& i brought ricoh out to play that day..

i used to drag kun all the way to clarke quay just to have it 

they used to have this rewards card thingy but it's no longer valid now 

7 bucks for 12 pieces of churros served with chocolate dip. 

pretty pricey but it's worth every penny :):) 

it was my treat but the girls barely ate them so it was 90% sinful indulgence on my part.

how i wished i was one of those with high metabolism
